About Me

Kombai Nonnarath

Professional Counselor Associate, M.S, NCC

Hi there, I’m glad you’re here!

I’m a late diagnosed AuDHD trauma therapist, passionate about creating spaces for authentic healing. Growing up in Oakland, CA as a 1st generation immigrant has deeply informed my perspective on identity, resilience, and healing. With roots in Animism and Buddhism deeply woven into the cultural and spiritual practices of my upbringing, I am inspired to carry forward the healing legacies of my family lineage.

Over time, this path guided me toward studying Human Development with a focus on working with children, eventually earning a master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling. My experiences living and working abroad further deepened my understanding of different systems and cultures, enriching my work through a cross-cultural lens. I’m deeply committed to celebrating diversity, honoring individual differences, and fostering a space where growth and self-discovery can unfold.

When I’m not in the therapy room, I’m likely curled up with my dog, nerding out on science articles, exploring the outdoors, or traveling.

Clinical Approach

I’m deeply committed to working with multicultural communities and honoring the complexity of layered identities. As a relational therapist, I draw from a range of modalities, guided by intuition and what feels most supportive for you. I integrate holistic practices with evidence-based approaches such as mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Brainspotting. My work is rooted in both science and spirituality, grounded in the belief that meaningful growth happens through a balance of support, challenge, and self-connection.

In our work together, I’ll support you in slowing down and tuning inward. We may sit with hard questions, gently untangle patterns, and notice what emerges beneath the surface. At times, this can feel uncomfortable, and together we can hold that discomfort as it becomes part of making space for something new.

My goal is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your inner wisdom and strength. I invite you to approach this journey with openness and curiosity as we reflect on the experiences that have brought you here. Together, we’ll co-create a space where you feel empowered to heal, grow, and thrive.
