About Me

Kombai Nonnarath

Professional Counselor Associate, M.S, NCC

Hi there, I’m glad you’re here!

I’m a late diagnosed AuDHD trauma therapist, passionate about creating spaces for authentic healing. Growing up in Oakland, CA as a 1st generation immigrant has deeply informed my perspective on identity, resilience, and healing. With roots in Animism and Buddhism deeply woven into the cultural and spiritual practices of my upbringing, I am inspired to carry forward the healing legacies of my family lineage.

This led me to study Human Development with a focus on working with children, eventually earning a master's degree in Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling. My experiences living and working abroad deepened my understanding of various governing systems, enriching my work with a cross-cultural lens. I’m deeply committed to celebrating diversity, honoring individual differences, and fostering a space where growth and self-discovery can thrive.

When I’m not in the therapy room, I’m likely curled up with my dog, nerding out on science articles, exploring the outdoors, or traveling.

Clinical Approach

I am deeply committed to supporting multicultural communities and understanding how cultural and systemic factors impact mental health. I specialize in working with individuals who carry the weight of intersecting identities—navigating trauma, racial identity stress, and the complexities of neurodivergence.

As a relational therapist, I draw from a range of modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Brainspotting. My work is rooted in both science and spirituality, grounded in the belief that meaningful growth happens through a balance of support, challenge, and self-connection.

Throughout our work together, I will invite you to explore deeply, ask tough questions, and gently bring awareness to the patterns that may be holding you back. While this process can be uncomfortable at times, I believe that true transformation happens when we step outside of our comfort zones.

I invite you to approach this journey with openness and curiosity, as we reflect on the experiences that have brought you here. Together, we’ll co-create a space where you are empowered to heal, grow, and thrive.
